About Us
Mission
Our mission is to advocate for youth in California as gang experts in criminal/juvenile proceedings in the Juvenile Justice System and by providing trauma/healing informed care as an alternative to punishment and incarceration as credible messengers with lived experience.
JJAC provides mentorship support and rehabilitative programs to youth incarcerated in both San Diego and Los Angeles Juvenile Detention Facilities, as well as within the community.
Juvenile Justice Advocates of California (JJAC) provides mentorship, advocacy, education, reentry support, workforce development, and culturally responsive programming to justice-impacted and system-involved youth and young adults. Our mission is to help young people overcome the barriers associated with incarceration, gang involvement, poverty, educational disruption, and system involvement by connecting them with trusted mentors, practical resources, career opportunities, and long-term support. JJAC believes young people should not be defined by their past or system involvement. We work alongside youth to develop accountability, stability, skills, positive relationships, and realistic pathways toward employment, successful reentry, and productive adulthood.
